Know More About Different Types Of Kites Used In Kitesurfing

Kitesurfing can be learned in most coastal towns in Egypt. There are many schools and resorts that offer courses, but the best way to find out is to ask around or check online.

Types of Kites

There are two main types of kites used for kitesurfing in El Gouna: "Tripod" and "Windsurfer" kites. Tripod kites are easy to control and are more stable in the air, making them better for beginners. Windsurfer kites are more difficult to control but can travel much faster and higher, making them better for experienced riders.

How to Fly a Kite?

To fly a kite, start by finding a high spot on the beach or pier where you want to ride. Pull your kite out of its packaging and unfold it. Make sure the lines are taut by pulling each line individually until it feels firm. Hold the kite up at arm's length with one hand and position the other hand near one of the trailing lines. Take a step forward so that your body is parallel with the line and hold on tight!

Before you hit the water, make sure to check the conditions. Kitesurfing is best on calm seas with light winds, but bad weather can still affect the quality of your experience. If there's any chance of rain or strong winds, wait until the weather clears up. And always be sure to wear sunscreen and hat when you are out on the water!
